Palmetto has raised $1.2 billion to expand its LightReach program, which offers homeowners $0 upfront rooftop solar and storage systems with lifetime maintenance and immediate savings on energy costs. LightReach energy plans eliminate dealer fees and interest charges, providing cost-effective solutions to over 20,000 households across 30 states. This funding will accelerate the rollout of these plans in 2024-2025, making solar energy more accessible and affordable through Palmetto’s partnerships with 600+ providers.

AI-Driven Energy Solutions and Consumer Focus

Palmetto leverages its proprietary AI platform to personalize energy recommendations and streamline the transition to renewable energy. The platform integrates products like solar panels, batteries, and EV chargers with flexible financing options. Founder Chris Kemper emphasized Palmetto’s $200 million investment in scaling its operating systems, positioning LightReach as a tech-driven solution to consumer pain points in clean energy adoption.

Addressing Rising Energy Costs and Equity

Amid a 30% rise in energy prices over four years, LightReach addresses affordability for households, especially as energy demands from AI data centers are projected to increase further. Palmetto also supports underserved communities through its Get Solar, Give Solar initiative, underscoring its commitment to democratizing clean energy while reducing emissions and advancing the global renewable energy transition.
