PRESS RELEASE — Course Corrected VC, a leading venture capital firm focused on early-stage climate positive technology companies, is pleased to announce the successful first close of Course Corrected VC Fund II, exceeding SEK720million. The first close took place on December 27, 2024 and was supported by several prominent cornerstone investors, including Europeiska Investeringsfonden (EIF), which is part of the European Investment Bank (EIB)“, Saminvest, SEB Pension och Försäkring, SEBStiftelsen, and a Swedish Foundation.
The Fund’s three GPs; Christine Ahlstrand, Katja Bergman and Kerstin Cooley, are all longstanding investors in the Nordic ecosystem. “We are thrilled to have secured this significant investment from such high-caliber investors, and are immensely grateful for the confidence our investors have placed in us. The launch of Fund II follows the successful deployment of Fund I, which has backed 16 disruptive companies across the climate tech landscape, spanning electrification and energy efficiency, industrial process transformation, carbon capture utilization and storage, and more across significant market shifts.
