Insider Brief:
- EcoVadis launches carbon data network to help companies account for supply chain emissions
- The software also includes tools to create corrective emissions plans as well as a carbon estimator
- The software draws on data from 150,000 organizations
Paris-based sustainability intelligence company EcoVadis launched a carbon data network to help companies understand and act upon carbon emissions throughout their supply chain network.
The company unveiled its Carbon Data Network at the company’s Sustain 2025 conference, held from March 11 to March 13, in Paris.
The CDN is powered by EcoVadis’ Carbon Action Manager, which enables companies to work together with their suppliers to lower their carbon emissions. The CAM includes tools such as Corrective Action Plans, a carbon estimator, and a teaching platform to assist companies with implementing decarbonization plans.

While most companies have embarked on plans to manage Scope 1 (direct) and Scope 2 (indirect) emissions, many are struggling with curtailing Scope 3 (climate emissions of supply chains) emissions.
“The journey to Net Zero demands bold action, collaboration, and trust in data,” EcoVadis co-founder and co-CEO Pierre-François Thaler said.
EcoVadis aims to facilitate companies’ decarbonization paths, by providing insights and primary supplier data more easily.
“We’re helping businesses to move from industry averages to primary emissions data and seamlessly bring it into their reporting and decarbonization efforts,” Julia Salant, general manage of carbon solutions at EcoVadis, said.
The CDN is built on a network of more than 150,000 organizations, and the tool is designed to help companies comply with new carbon regulations, such as the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism.
